Magalog 1 Review & Ashley Greene is mark.'s Brand Ambassador!
So this post comes a little late but I just wanted to give my review on the new items that were launched in magalog 1, which is also the mag that Ashley Greene makes her official debut as mark.'s brand ambassador! (Doesn't she look gorgeous!)
With that being said there were a couple new product launches in this mag:
With that being said there were a couple new product launches in this mag:
- Just Tweezing Hook Up Tweezer, $6
A great travel tweezer. It's really tiny so if you have bigger hands, this might not be the tweezer for you. I find that it picks up individual hairs pretty well so as long as it does the job, it's a thumbs up from me! I also love that it's in hook up form as well. - Brow Factor Hook Up Clear Brow Gel, $6
I'd been using the e.l.f. clear mascara/brow gel (which looks eerily like a hook up but cannot be taken apart) and was running low so I was glad to receive this in the mail. Brow gel does not crusty and keeps the hairs in place. The one thing that stood out for me between the mark. Brow Factor and the e.l.f. gel was that the mark. tube was their signature deep brown shade instead of the clear tube that e.l.f. had. I prefer the mark. tube packaging since you don't have to see the gel get discolored with the brow products you use. With the e.l.f. tube, I can see that it's no longer clear, but a murky greyish brown color (yuck!). There is a downside to the opaque tube though, you can't see when the product is getting low. All in all, Brow Factor gets a thumbs up from me! - Shimmer Down Lip Gloss, (Available in Pink Spark, Browniac, Feels Ripe), $7
Packaging is similar to mark.'s Juice Gems except the flavor is more similar to the Totally Balmed lip balm so it's not fruity (like the Juice Gems) or minty (like the hook up lip glosses)...I can't quite put my finger on it. As far as the color payoff, it's pretty sheer since it's a gloss but it's sparkly so steer clear if you're against sparks ;) I don't mind it and I find that if I just dab a bit on the center of my bottom lips, it doesn't seem overwelmingly sparkly. I like to layer the Pink Spark under my Lipclick in Bare Hug. Loves! - Chic and Cozy Sweatshirt (S-XXL), $25
I love, love, LOVE this sweatshirt! It's made of stretchy french terry material and has a form-fitting cut. I usually wear a XS-S so the small fits me perfectly. Do not let the "sweatshirt" part fool you! This is a very versatile piece that can be worn with jeans/leggings on the weekends or dressed up with a black blazer for work. I do not wear it as a tunic because I am short so it makes me look shorter. I let the hem fall/settle just below my waist on my hips and it looks really cute. Double thumbs up!! - Squared Away Tote (Black & Dark Green), $30
Cute bag! It's pretty big; has one zippered pocket and open two phone/pda pockets. There's also a bigger center pocket with a zippered top for bigger items. The bag has a flap magnetic snap closure and the two front zippered pockets are also functional but shallow. I've been using the black one and it's sturdy and cute. - Head Games Beret (Black & Orchid), $16
I love me some berets and this one is no exception. I have both the black and orchid and they're both beautiful. It's slouchy so that you can pull off that hipster all hair in the hat look without putting in too much effort. The material is really nice and soft as well. - Embellish a Little Necklace, $16
Yarn and chain?! What?! Haha - no, this necklace is actually really cute in person. The fabric is not yarn, it's more like t-shirt scarf material with some metallic thread woven thorugh - very lightweight. The chain is lightweight as well and with the fabric, it works well together. - Pile it On Stretchy Bracelets, $15
This is one of mark.'s popular bracelets that they reinvented with winter colors. You get a set of nine stretchy bracelets. I like to wear more delicate jewelry so the entire set on one wrist looks overwhelming but if I just put half on, it looks more decent. Cute buy!
These items are all available in the website now so check it out here!
