How to Wear: the Denim Shirt

The denim shirt isn't just for cowboys anymore.  Sure, the denim on denim look can be a little too much for some people but like it's more accepted bottom counterpart, the denim shirt can be just as versatile and can be worn all seasons.



Here are few ways that I like to wear it:

In the fall:

• Casually with some leggings and flats; up the chic factor by wearing it with some fun colored flats and bright accessories.

In the winter:

• Wear with boots and layer a winter coat on top.  Wear another top underneath the denim shirt and leave it unbutton for the layered look that's both fashionable and functional.

In the spring:

• Wear with light colored skirts, shorts or over dresses
• Tie the ends at the waist for a carefree look

In the summer:

• Use it as a cover up for your bathing suit
• Bonus points: wear it as a top when the sun goes down

If you're daring enough, do the denim-on-denim look.  The key to avoid looking too dated is to go lighter on top.
