mark. Magalog 7 (2010) Sneak Peek & Review
Hello blogsphere!
I came home from Vegas with a Trendspotter package waiting for me -- how great is that! Anyway, there are some great items coming out in Mag 7 -- just the kind of stuff I like. There wasn't any new make up stuff debuting this magalog but there are a TON of new clothing and accessories. This month's magalog features many two-for-one deals so it's even better.
Break Out Plan Anti-Acne Gel Lotion ($16): We received this a couple months ago. I gave this my daughter to try out and when she remembers to use it, it does help with reducing the redness from her acne. It has a fresh cucumber scent.
Back Me Up Anti-Acne Back Treatment Liquid Spray ($10): This is another product I passed on to my daughter. She reported back that it does help diminishes the breakouts on her shoulders. I love the idea of the 180 degree spray – especially since you’ll be spraying it on yourself.
Blemish Banisher Anti-Acne Treatment Pads ($12): These haven’t been put to test yet but my one gripe about this product is the packaging. For such a big size, you’d think there would be more pads inside but no, it’s only a little bit over half full of pads. I think it would have been more economical to just make the jar smaller to fit the amount of pads included inside instead.
Seeing Double Tops in Solid Black andWhite with Cobalt Stripes ($28 for both): I really love these tops. They’re basic tops with a bit of stretch to them. We received them in medium and it’s a bit too big on me (I’m a small). The longer sleeves and scoop neck makes this a very versatile top that can be paired with the Flip Over Reversible Skirt or with jeans. The blue and white striped top can be paired with a pair of white shorts or jeans for a nautical look.
Flip Over Reversible Skirt ($28): A fabulous skirt from mark. features a solid black color on one side and a bright graphic print on the other. I received this in a Medium which is big on me but with a belt it’s not too bad. As for the length of the skirt, it falls a bit above my knees (I’m only 5’) so with my short legs, it makes me look dowdy. If I roll the skirt up a bit, it looks a lot better and makes me look not so short. The graphic print side is really pretty in person. I had thought that I wouldn’t like it but it looks so much better in person – not as outrageous and very artsy. LOL!
Tasseltastic Bag in Chartreuse or Ivory ($28): I’m loving the smaller bags mark. is coming out with this season. I also love that mark.’s bags now have magnetic closures instead of snap closures. So much easier to close! I received both the chartreuse and ivory colored bag. The charteuse color is so pretty...it’s like a matte olive color (not shiny as it looks in the picture). I’m a little skeptical about the Ivory color since I wear dark clothes/jeans and they tend to rub off on my white purses(!) as it did on my mark. A Little Twisted Bag from earlier this year. The chain handle can be tucked inside the bag to convert it into a clutch. The tassel is removable. All in all, a beautiful, classy purse.
Color Burst Beaded Necklace, available in Silvertone w/purple & turquoise beads & Burnished Brass with colbalt & chartreuse beads ($16): I received the Silvertone w/purple & turquoise beads. Beautiful necklace. Love the little bright clusters of beads! Can’t wait to get the brass with colbalt & chartreuse beads.
Just Brilliant Ring ($12): I got this in the Small/Medium size whic fits ring sizes 6-7. The ring is similar to most mark. rings which for me, is big and heavy. It is pretty ring with a very vintage-y feel. The color goes great with the turquoise beads in silver Color Burst Beaded Necklace above.
Touch of Lace Scarves in Black & Purple ($16): Great scarves from mark. I received both colors and love the longer, thinner size since it makes them very versatile. You can wear it as around your neck, as a headband or around your waist belt as I did in one of the pictures. The lacing with the silver metallic threads make these scarves extra pretty.
All in all, a great magalog for me. I am loving the two-for-one deals mark. has in this magalog. In today’s economy, a multi-use/multi-wear product is great for not only saving money, but also saving time and space in your closet. For more pictures of items from Magalog 7, click here.
Until next time!
