My daughter and I took a walk to a nearby creek yesterday afternoon.  It was wonderful to really just get away from it all and revel in the beauty of mother nature without all the everyday distractions.  We saw two creatures swimming in the almost dried creek and it freaked us out a bit.  We thought they were alligators or crocodiles until a cute little old couple pointed out to us that they were in fact, just a couple of otters.  Oops!  The two creatures in the creek became less menacing after the clarification.  However, how the two otters ended up in the shallow little creek remains a mystery.
