I really love wallpaper prints and floral is one of my favorites.  Must be the old lady in me.  Anyway, if you love floral prints and want to wear them through fall and winter without looking out of place, here are some tips on what to look for:
  1. Look for prints that are darker with black or jewel tone colors like my tunic above.
  2. Look for floral prints on heavier fabrics like wool, brocade and cashmere.
  3. If you have a floral print piece that doesn't fall into the either of the above category, no fear! You can still wear it.  Coordinate your other pieces to one of the darker colors from the print to bring out the fall look by pairing them with heavier fabrics like corduroy, thicker weight denim and cotton.
Coordinate doesn't mean you have to match the colors exactly, it just has to be within the same color family to make the outfit look put together.  Adding in some layers to any of the above will also help to make your entire ensemble more cold-weather appropriate.

What's your favorite print to rock through fall and winter?

  2. I love animal print too! I wasn't into it as much when I was younger but it's grown on me the past couple of years. :)
