iFabbo Social Media Conference
I was invited to attend the iFabbo Social Media Conference this past weekend in San Francisco. It was a very rare feat for me to accomplish since 1.) I didn't really know anyone who was attending and 2.) I'm very awkward person in real life (and perhaps virtually as well). There were a couple that I "knew" via their social media but none that I've met in person so I was a bit nervous. Nonetheless, I sucked it up and drove the two hour drive to the bay and walked up and down San Francisco's hilly sidewalks in heels to the Merchant Exchange Building.
I'm so glad I decided to go since I had a blast learning from all the panel speakers and visiting the various vendor booths.
One of the vendors I visited was BooHoo, a UK retailer which just launched in the US market, had some of their cutting edge pieces on the floor us to get up close and personal with. Their collection combines catwalk and celebrity inspired fashion with incredible value which means you can try out the current trends without feeling too guilty.

Dermologica was also in attendance to provide skincare mapping and recommendations.

Australian makeup brand Becca Cosmetics was also there to provide a quick demo on their ingenious creation, The Perfecting One Brush. It's a multi-tasking brush that can be used for foundation, stippling, blush, contour, concealer, powder, etc. A pretty amazing product that I can't wait to try!
Best of all, I met some amazing bloggers!
Beautiful Elba of Live Colorful, awesome Beauty YouTubers Laura and SeleneRadiates, and my partner in crime for the day Kareen from Ziba Blog are pictured above. I was also finally able to meet Kachet of Lipstick Giraffe who's a fellow
Sacramento/Bay Area blogger, swatch specialist Angelica from The Practigal, relatable Sophie from Sophie's Dish and the hilarious Jesica from Ryzenberg On. I cannot wait to start reading their blogs and YouTube channels!
Big thanks to the iFabbo team for putting together such a fantastic event!

The iFabbo attendees at #iFabboSFcon 2013 are pushing fashion and beauty into social media. Let's get fashion bloggers and designers interested in wearable tech. http://alfidicapitalblog.blogspot.com/2013/10/alfidi-capital-at-ifabbo-conference.html
ReplyDeleteHi Anthony,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! I think wearable tech is an emerging market but with Google glasses leading the way, it will be interesting to see how things will evolve.
Great recap of the conference on your blog by the way! Wish we could have had the chance to talk in person.
