Beauty Must Haves: Camping Edition

As I was getting ready to pack my bag for camping a couple of weeks ago, I decided that even though I was leaving all my makeup at home, I still wanted to make sure my skin was taken care of.  I always find that no matter the season, my skin (especially my hands) get dried out.

These items were in my "makeup bag" during the camping trip and what I consider basic beauty must-haves:
Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes: While we did have access to water, I wanted to use something that helped me clean my face quickly and easily.  These came in handy because while I didn't wear any makeup during the trip, we burned a lot (and I mean A LOT) of firewood so there was smoke and dirt flying everywhere.  At the end of the day/morning, one swipe of these wipes and it helped cleaned up my face.  Plus, it's unscented and doesn't sting like some wipes do.

Aveeno Positively Ageless Moisturizer: I slowly switched over to anti-aging products within the past year and I really like this moisturizer.  It has a nice light scent, SPF 30 and it doesn't leave skin feeling sticky or greasy.  It has a pump dispenser and the pump has not clogged or stopped on me yet.
Benefit It's Potent! Eye Cream: This is usually my night cream since it's really moisturizing but I figured I'll use it during the trip as well since it's some R&R time.  I started using this eye cream when I noticed the skin around my eye started becoming crepy from too much sun.  Since using this eye cream, the skin has plumped up a bit and the crepy-ness has gone away.  Although I'm no longer prone to dark circles since my daughter is now older and sleeps through the night, It's Potent! also helps brighten eyes and reduce the appearance of dark circles.

Chapstick Moisturizing Lip Balm in Green Apple with SPF 15:  My love affair with Chapstick started in middle school.  I had the original classic black and white one and I took it with me everywhere.  Unfortunately, it didn't have any SPF so I was excited when they released more scents with SPF since I didn't care for the original one with SPF.  I'm loving Green Apple so far.  It's very moisturizing and smells delicious every time I apply.
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream:  This hand "cream" is more gel-like than cream.  With the amount of hand washing I did during the camping trip, I'm glad I brought this along since all I needed was a little bit to keep my hands soft and moisturize.

When we returned from camping, my skin not only looked better from the break in applying makeup but it didn't look too beat up as a result of the consistent skincare routine I had during the trip.
