Polka dot love

Outfit details:
polka dot top - Forever21 (old)
coated skirt - Urban Outfitters (old)
patent leather bow belt - Kate Young for Target
Shiva strappy heels - ShoeMint

This familiar outfit is the one I wore to the #SacTweetup in yesterday's post.  It also might look familiar because you may have spotted me (see what I did there?) in numerous polka dotted outfits over the past couple of years on the blog (see mint version here, dress version here and dot overload here to name a few).  As you can probably tell, I'm partial to polka dots so it was a no brainer to feature them for IFB's Project #107 challenge on prints.  I love the polka dots because it is just so versatile.  It can be styled with jeans or skirts and it's complimentary to any color, especially this black and white pattern.  In a way, polka dots are a neutral in itself.

Am I tired of the print yet? Negative, I think I shall wear this print into my years as a wrinkly old lady.

Do you have a specific print that you're drawn to?

  1. I love polka dots. Have you seen Because I Said So with Mandy Moore and Diane Keaton? There's a polka dots joke in that movie.
I'm pretty open to prints. Heck, I am still in love with animal prints. Zebra, Cheetah, you name it. I'm a sucker for that Safari look.

    1. Arhh!I haven't seen that movie yet and I'm a big fan of Mandy Moore. Not sure how I missed it, I'll have to check it out some time. I'm just starting to get into animal prints this year but you're right, safari looks are pretty cool. I'm still searching for that perfect leopard print pumps...
