It's back to school season and by now, most students are already hitting the books. Although I've been out of school for over half a decade, the start of the school season still gets to me: new clothes, new papers and new people to meet. I don't think it ever gets old.
What I have learned throughout the beginning of each school season is that even though you're back in school and it's supposedly fall, the weather is still too warm to wear that cute sweater and jeans for another month and half. And so, you wear your summer break clothes while your mind is in school mode. The fashion lesson here is to split your clothes budget in half; get only a few key clothing pieces that will be easy to transition from summer to fall with the first half and buy additional pieces with the other half when the temperature starts to drop. My favorite transitional outfit: pair your new pair of jeans with a current tank in your closet and throw on a light boyfriend cardigan over it.
