I will be venturing out into the wilderness for the entire weekend tomorrow. It may be hard to believe but I've never been camping. The closest experience I've had with camping was during my 6th grade class trip to Sly Park for a week. We slept in cabins, had hot running water and meals cooked fresh in the cafeteria. This time, I will be "camping" camping: sleeping on the ground in tents, doing our business in the bushes and campfire cooked food. And of course, I will be leaving behind my usual attire of skirts, dresses and heels -- this outfit included. I'm looking forward to it!

You are going to have so much fun! I started camping when I was in my late teens. I've always said that camping for me was staying at a hotel but once I did it with a few friends, I fell in love.
ReplyDeleteI remember Sly Park when I was in the 6th grade. I had a blast. I miss the indoor rock climbing. Oh how fun!!!

Thanks, Kristina! I took pictures but as usual, I felt like I could have taken more! I LOVED the rock climbing wall! It was one of my favorite activities at Sly Park too.
